The abstract, the inscrutable, and the intensely provocative all meet in the work of American fashion designer-turned-sculptor Rogan Gregory. His tactile and biomorphic approach to sculpture in stone, bronze, and wood is inspired by themes such as nature, geology, and ecological systems, as well as the ways in which the elements and the continuum of time shape our world.
Gregory’s work asks the viewer to confront the primordial with his commitment to pure organic form; this has made him a uniquely potent collaborator of Nicole Hollis.
RG Studio is a sculptural exploration of everyday objects by Rogan Gregory. As in his art practice, Rogan applies the same principles of asymmetry, evolutionary biology, and sensory interaction to flatware, flower vases, and place settings.
