Michael Anastassiades is a Cyprus-born, London-based designer whose practice encompasses functional products like lighting, furniture, and decorative objects, plus experimental works that transcend the distinctions between different fields of creativity.

With a career spanning more than two decades, Anastassiades’ work is characterised by clean lines, proportion, and form, with a throughline of calm contemplation. Every object is conceived with a poetic yet rigorous interpretation of technology, materials, and functions, a philosophy he shares with Nicole Hollis. His references include everything from nature to Modernism to very personal memories of his life and native Cyprus, ultimately transforming a rich set of diverse references into something timeless and elemental.
