Carved from single ovules of alabaster, each tea light unites the cup and the saucer into a single seamless vessel, delicate enough to allow light to pass through the stone, illuminating natural inclusions, color, and veining. They are sourced, carved, and finished in Volterra, Italy, by master craftspeople dedicated to alabaster artistry. Due to the variations inherent to each piece of stone and the maker’s unique touch, every piece will be unique.

Alabaster may have a visible layer of oil upon arrival; this will be absorbed within a few days, resulting in a soft satin finish.

Care

Alabaster is naturally porous and fragile. We recommend
using a tealight in a cup, to avoid wax spills. If soot accumulates along the rim, clean with a dry cloth. For deep cleaning, use acetone or mineral spirits on a cotton swab. Never wash with water or use detergents, alcohol, or corrosive substances.
